Event and Education Program Manager

  • Full-Time Non-Exempt Classification
  • Annual Salary: $42,000 to $44,000 
 
Responsibilities Include:
 

Events and Programs

  • Coordinate and project manage multiple events throughout the year, ranging from small educational programs to an over 40 team golf outing, annual business partner expo, annual membership meetings, networking events, and annual fundraisers. 
  • Several events and programs are offsite: four of them until 6:30 pm. 
  • Includes site selection, securing and negotiating contracts, hiring vendors, décor, day-of execution, volunteer/staff management for day-of execution, tear down. 
  • Working with CEO on budget creation and reconciliation. 
  • Marketing and registration creation and execution. 
  • Maximize value to sponsors and experience for all Members attending event. 
  • Collaborate with other staff members on various programs and events throughout the year. 
 

Committee Staff Liaison

  • Act as Staff Liaison for Community Relations Committee; prepare monthly meeting agenda, take minutes, provide administrative support for their volunteer-based community outreach efforts. 
 

Social Media

  • Assists with administration of the GKAR Facebook Page and private Facebook Group. 

General Duties

  • Point of contact for janitorial service vendor. 
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and annual fire system inspections 
  • Reviews facility cleanliness on a regular basis and order necessary supplies. 
  • Assist with providing content for weekly Member email communications. 
  • Provide support for Membership Services by answering inquiries on the phone and through the Member support system. 
     

Other

  • Supervisors to change and/or add specific tasks that may not be detailed in the job description. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of service and response.

  • Forward thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. 
  • 1-2 years of customer service, office experience, and event or program coordination, preferably in a non-profit/not-for-profit, membership-based organization and/or association management. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • HubSpot and NoteRouter 
  • Facebook Page and Group administrator  
  • Video editing software (Wondershare Filmora, YouTube, and Canva) 
  • Microsoft Office
